The research contained in this paper enables a reader to navigate from art appreciation education towards defining a connexion between Abstract and his music specifically demonstrated by the song “Blanket” throughout his Brockhampton era. Kevin Abstract employs lo-fi guitars within his musical tracks as he writes lyrics that focus on his individual experiences with musical influences drawn from Alex G and Diiv. The 'Turn Me On' along with 'Running Out' tracks successfully show Abstract's authentic exploration of identity through his honest discussion about longing and identity. His musical creation of rap rock units two exciting musical genres to produce a fresh path which triggers an emotional response from listeners. Through the listening of ‘Blanket’ people can observe Abstract's artistic journey as he discovers his authentic self combined with his professional purpose.
